Going Back to School and Exams

Hi guys!

In this post I will be talking about Going back to School and Exams!

Now going back to school can be a stressful time or a fun time depending on how you look at it.  You can meet your friends after the long weekend and catch up on all the latest gossip. But, on the other hand, you have to tough out Math class with that super scary teacher who always hangs around you when you are doing your work... Yeah, I've been through it all... 

       

                  

The main reason that most people look forward to going back to school is to see their friends and make new ones. But I love going back to school because I love buying all the new stationary... Yes, yes I am a stationary geek! Am I the only one? 

New rubbers, pencils of different colours (I bought some lovely neon ones for this year!), textbooks and tiny little sprinkles on top! 
Sometimes things you don't even need. You know you have that awesome sharpener that shaped as a world... but they have a sale in the football ones! Oh, I have a pink rubber at home... oh, well I'll have it anyway. Besides, I don't have a green one... I GET YOU, GURL ( or guy!). I go crazy at the back to school sales! Most of the stuff I have bought is right at the bottom of the stationary draw which would probably be worth millions because there's ANTIQUES in there! A rubber from 2008 and a ruler that was "cool" because it was bendy. STOP! JUST STOP. Stick to a cheaklist, ok? Or handcuffs...  

So my next subject is the all important EXAMS. Dun, dun DUNNN!! Now, whatever exam you doing, your guaranteed stress- and lots of it! I am going to write some studying hacks here so you don't feel stressed whilst studying: 

1) ALWAYS  keep a glass of water next to you. That way you can keep a clear head and be watered at the same time! Also, you might want to include some nibbles. Nuts, dried fruits or chocolate would do the trick! Whatever floats your boat. 

2)  KEEP flashcards! Preferably with the info that you struggle with so that you can learn in a flash! Get it? These are really helpful for on the go, in the hallways before the actual exam or even just for day to day revision! This, personally, is my favorite tip! :)

3) SIT in a place where you won't get any distractions (especially from annoying sisters or brothers!) that way you can keep focus on that tricky algebra question...

And, yes, it's Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint's birthday!!

Today, he will be turning 27- originally born in 1988. He was famously one of the 3 main characters who rose to the challenge of being in Harry Potter for a period of 10 years. Starting off as just a 10 year old boy, he grew up in the world of acting and film making along with his co-stars Emma Watson (Hermoine Granger) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter). 


Harry Potter was a huge success and they steadily carried on through 8 movies gaining more fans by the millions. Most people refer to him as the Ron Weasley actor but he has also been in many other movies as well. Films include Postman Pat the Movie, Into the White, Thunderpants and a short film based on Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Runaway Boy #4

Hi guys!

Instead of one of those really boring introductions, I am going to get strait into it. Hold up! I haven't got my popcorn... *reaches out for popcorn* ok, let's go!

Adoption papers? This must be a mistake. He quickly turned on the light so that he could see the page clearer. Some role play prop, perhaps. Yeah that was probably it!  But as Zander read further 
down the dusty pages it came to his attention that in bold print it read: 

ZANDER REDNAZ 

15/09/2001

This was getting a bit too much for Zander now. 'I have to tell someone.' He thought, 'But who? His mum? Phhffft. His sister? Too young to understand.' 
Thinking hard for a moment Zander thought about his dream again.

 Was it somehow connected? 

Maybe. But for now he had to focus on his dilemma. As much as he hated it, he would have to come out to his mother. Plus it would provide a welcome distraction for his "mysterious disappearance". Then he would tell Alex. He was the only person who would understand his situation.  He made his way to the trap door and 
then realised. He was in "exile". He thought for a while and the idea of giving up popped into his mind more than once. Maybe he was scared or maybe he had too much pride too come out to his mother but he eventually decided to stay. Why should he give his mother the benefit? But on the other hand, he really wanted to know what was going on. Zander got into the tent that lay on the far side of the attic and got comfortable. After all, he was going to spend his time here for the whole night.


The next morning came quick and before he knew it, he was at the breakfast table staring into the eyes of an angry mother. 
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I was up all night looking for you! I even contemplated calling the police!! Your VERY lucky I didn't, young man!  Jazmin was crying her eyes out! You have made another late start to school. Can you even NOT think about yourself for one second?" On and on she went getting louder and louder. And the more she shouted, the angrier Zander got. Yes, he disappeared. Yes, he got her 
worried. But does that really mean that he has to suffer through out a long speech? 
"Do you know what I need?" 
"Two aspirin and a refreshing glass of cold water?" 
"No," his mother said, her eyes shooting daggers, "what I need is a nice cup of tea with lots of sugar. Go and make it for me." 
"Um, ok" 

In the kitchen, Zander started to cool down. He was ok. Hopefully the tea would make his mother a little bit better. After finished pouring the milk and added two spoonfuls of sugar, he picked up the cup and headed towards the living room. His mother wasn't sitting on her favourite rocking chair so he thought she had gone to sleep and headed upstairs. 

He reached the upmost step and heard sobbing. And it was coming from his room. Curiosity getting the better of him, Zander carefully placed the cup of tea down on a neighbouring table and slowly opened his door. In his room he saw his mother sobbing silently the adoption papers clutched in her hands. 
"Mum?" 
"Oh, my boy. My darling, darling boy"

A new beginning!?

Hi guys!

Um, I have something to tell you.

I am going to change my blog! But not just the design. The name, web address and my anonymous name.  

I guess you could say PenGirl9 is putting down her pen and picking up a new one.

Right now, the lovely Abby from GirlOnline is getting started on the blog's makeover. But can you guess what the colour scheme could be? Tell me in the comments below!!

Runaway Boy #3

Hey guys!

And... Guess who has had WAY too many sweets? Yeah... 

As the title reveals, I am going to be writing Runaway Boy #3! AHHH! Already? Are you excited? I am! Ok, quit babbling, let's go!  ;) 


At last, Zander reached the red front door of his house in a sweaty panic. He checked his watch: 6 'o' clock. Oh no, he's in for it now.. Sweat dripping down his face, he ran the doorbell and the door opened almost immediately. "Zander? Zander, is that you?" 
He nodded and stepped inside willing himself to go up the stairs. Withount saying a word, he made his way towards sleep. 


After what seemed like forever, Zander finally reached his bedroom and collapsed onto his cosy inviting bed. Once comfortable it felt safe to think about the dream again. 'Was it a dream? It certainly didn't feel like it,' he thought ' it felt so... real.' 

"Can I come in?" Asked his mother peeping in from the door.
"Yeah... Sure." 
"What happened? Did you get lost?" She was trying to be understanding but Zander could foretell that this was going to end 
in another little argument. She was speaking in that way you treat a little baby. Like a predator after its prey. 
"No. I-I fell. My bike. I-It smashed. In th-the woods." Zander was helpless now. He hated these kind of situations. 
"Couldn't you have just called me?" she whispered quietly, "I would've helped you." 
Zander wasn't sure what he was meant to do so he quickly changed the subject. 
"I had a weird dream," he began, "A man was in it and I felt, feels, like it has something to do with me. About me." 
"Cool. Um, dinner is ready so if you want to come down for dinner that would be great." 
"Oh. Ok." 

As he watched his mother walk down the stairs, a searing anger soared through his body like wildfire. He tried to tell her something personal. Something that he wanted to share with her and she just... doesn't care? Zander sat on his bed barely moving. He sat so still
he could hear the grandfather clock ticking in Jazmin's  room next door.  "Zander?" called his mother. Oh no she's coming. He needed to make a quick getaway. Somewhere he could be by himself. Of course! The attic! He had used it when he was a little kid so why can't he use it now? Zander quickly scooped up a tin full of sweets and biscuits from under his bed and some magazines and headed towards the attic. Luckily, his house had three floors and Zander's room was on the top so he could easily make his way to the attic withount being seen. And when his mother had even placed her foot on the last step, Zander had long gone up the rope, into the attic.

Zander stepped back into the dark room behind him. He didn't want to put the light on for fear his mum could simply look up and see a faint light. The whole idea of escaping sent a excited little shiver dancing up and down his spine. He had food. He could sleep here. He would come down when he was ready. He took another step into the room and nearly fell onto a box. He steadied himself and crouched down. That way he could roughly make out where he wanted to go. Out of interest, he opened the box to see what was inside and was instantly met with the face of a teddy bear. "Ruffles!" Zander exclaimed. After a little reunion that only he and Ruffles could share, he put his little bear aside and explored deeper. 'This must be all of my old toys' he thought. But nothing could prepare him for what lay at the bottom of the box. He picked up the piles of paper and read in the dim light that was provided by the day: Adoption Papers. 

Did you like? I know I did, writing for you guys! I am afraid I won't be doing the second story this week as I haven't figured out the title and what it's going to be about but I am sure by next week I will have my second story to dish out for you! Who's up for pepperoni?! But if you do have a suggestion then tell me in the comments below! I know I have already got a request for a comedy but I thought I would do comedy and some other genre. So if you have any suggestions or if you just want to talk about Runaway Boy feel free!

Important update and Runaway Boy #2

Hi guys! I have changed my mind. To fit in a small extract in 1 week is a bit bizarre. So I have decided: Since it's the summer holidays and I have some new-found time to kill, why not make the most of this writing project and write stories two times a week? Plus a normal post?! I don't know about you but I really enjoy writing for you guys and writing at least two times a week plus a normal post would be suitable for me! But please comment if you think it's too much or if you're  happy about the idea. So, I have two options, really:

1) I write the same story in a week. So a single story would be finished in 3 weeks. That means 6 posts! 

2) I write two different stories in a week with different genres. Eg: Runaway Boy (adventure) and a surprise second story. Both stories would finish in a month or so. But remember I will have a normal post as well. 

But the only downside is that when the summer holidays finish and everyone, including me, goes back to their busy schedule, I will have to retire back to one or two posts a week. 

But now, to compensate for my two stories a week, here is Runaway Boy #2!!


"Come on, Zander! That's it! Go on!"
A precautious toddler took a few uneasy steps towards the man before him. The little infant couldn't see the mans face but he had a nice warm voice. The kind of voice you trust. A few more apprehensive wobbly steps and he was in the man's strong arms. 
"Aww! Who's a little hiker!!" the man cooed, "Who's a little hiker? You! Yes, you are!" 

 Zander's eyes shot open before he could hear what else the nice man had to say. He breathed short, heavy breaths while sweat 
beads ran down his face. He let out a loud groan and slowly sat up. Zander's  hazy vision hadn't yet adjusted to the blinding light above him but at least he knew it was still day. But evening was fast approaching. The furthest he could recall about anything before was a sharp pain in his head. Something hard and unmerciful. And just like that he remembered. The bike, the woods, everything. Oh no. Jazmin! He had to go. Now.

Despite his tender condition, Zander quickly got up and began running towards his bike, his head spinning all the while through. He supposed that he began biking at quarter to 4 and fell around that time, so if it was nearly evening it had got to be 5 at the very least! He quickened his pace and at last came to his bike. At least what was left of it. 

The bike was on the floor with a missing wheel. The paint had been scraped but that had nothing to do with the fact that what should have been the handle was now gone. "What am I supposed to do now?'"He thought, panic taking hold of his mind. "What am I supposed to do now?'"He began pacing the floor out of habit. At long last he decided. He would have to run. Unwillingly. 

He started running and his mind began to wander through the dream. He felt like it had something to do with him. That it was meant for him. But he soon 
dismissed that theory. And focused on running

There you are! That is my extract. Sorry that it came out on Sunday! I will definitely be back on schedule by next Saturday!
